They started their production career in 2000 releasing records on NYC labels such as Soundmen on Wax, Henry Street Records and MAW KenLou records, which is surprising as they both hail out of Birmingham, UK. 2004 was a great year for the duo as their rendition of “The Strings of life (Defected UK)”, Derrick Mays classic was the biggest track at the Miami Winter Music Conference and went on to be an Ibiza anthem, the biggest record in Ibiza that year without a doubt. 2005 saw them storm the charts after writing a vocal version of “Strings of life” for diva Kathy brown with “Stronger on my Own” on Defected records. Both have long DJ history, Timmy coming from old skool clubs back in ‘89 such as Timeout, Raw and Pandemonium and Galaxy radio star and Soul Heaven resident, DJ Andy Ward needs no introduction. Tearing places apart where ever they play, Soul Central bring a mixture of soulful, deep and pumping music to the dance floor, and can also combine a live element to their Dj sets, incorporating live instrumentation and percussion. |
