Released in October 2004 to overwhelming international acclaim, his debut album “Can’t Get Enough” made StoneBridge a household name all over the world - The singles, “Put Em High” and “Take Me Away”, both UK Top Ten hits, have been released in over 24 countries. Born in Stockholm, StoneBridge began Djing in the early eighties, spinning funk and disco at his own nightclub called Fellini. When the house sound of Chicago dropped in the mid eighties, StoneBridge made an official switch to house and started to remix tracks with a crew of other local DJs under the name Swemix. The reputation grew and soon StoneBridge began remixing international acts like De La Soul, Titiyo and Rebel MC. With his remix of Robin S’ Show Me Love in 1993 that has become one of the biggest selling house records of all time, StoneBridge established himself as a world class remixer and producer and he has continued to work with a large ensemble of successful and famous artists, including Lenny Kravitz, Missy Elliott, Robbie Williams, Will Smith, Texas, Patti LaBelle to mention a few. StoneBridge’s highly successful label Stoney Boy keeps releasing club anthems with his special brand of funky house and in 2007 his new single “SOS” and follow up artist album “Music Takes Me has seen the light. Being a DJ in demand, renowned for his sexy and pumping house, StoneBridge is crisscrossing the world to places like San Francisco via Sao Paolo to Sydney with several international residencies and regular slots secured including The Cross in London and Family in Brisbane. StoneBridges new mix album “The Flavour The Vibe was released in summer 2006 following his exclusive iTunes mix “Stoney Boy Sessions Vol 1 earlier this year and the “Dance Valley Sunrise double album from 2005. Aside from guest appearances on various radio mix shows in Europe, StoneBridge is also hosting a two-hour mix show for Sirius Satellite in the US (www.sirius.com) the first Saturday every month on Area 33, ten to midnight ET. |
