| Early Years |Stevie began training in opera at the age of 10. After performing in semi-professional theater in Sacramento & receiving multiple Elly award nominations, Stevie began writing her own songs. She recorded a demo cd which was then shown to the owner of a local record label. At the age of 15, Stevie was signed to an indie label in Northern California & began performing her own music at local venues. In 2006, Stevie was a contestant in season 5 of the reality TV show American Idol. She auditioned in Denver. Stevie made it to the top 24, performing the song “To Where You Are” in the semi-finals.She was eliminated on February 23, 2006 along with Becky O’Donohue, Bobby Bennett, and Patrick Hall. She made a cameo appearance on the Top 6 performance show of American Idol on April 25, 2006. Songs by Stevie Scott were available for free download for a time on her MySpace page. These included the songs “Unto You” and “When the Storm Comes”, the latter of which she recorded when she was 15. | 2008-2009 |According to Stevie’s MySpace page, the self-titled “Stevie Scott - EP” was recorded at Paramount Recording Studio. The album was a mix of Pop and Soul, with some Opera influences. It was released on July 29, 2008. Following the self-titled EP, “Bad News - EP” was released on September 16, 2008. Stevie signed a promotional deal with Myspace Records in 2009. 2010-Present |Stevie released her “Before The Dawn - EP” on iTunes on April 04, 2011.
