Forming over a mutual appreciation of handclaps, cowbells and vocoders, Master Paterson and Monsieur Ashenden are The C90s. The London lads are easier described with the use of finger paintings, bright colours and made up words. In their short time together they have gained credit for their remixes of Late Of The Pier, Headman, tape to tape, Tronik Youth, and most recently Roisin Murphy and Flight Facilities. In December 09, MixMag labelled The C90s remix of Filthy Dukes “Remix of the Month”, and also listed the instrumental version of 10:01 and their remix of Headman’s “Dirt” (featured on the Relish EP sampler and Relish Compilation ll) on their “Must Haves” for November. These remixes along with the new single have featured on compilations, DJ charts, and have even scored a ‘Top 10 of 09’ from some bloggers. 2010 will see the release of their debut single ‘10:01’, out March 5 on Relish Recordings, featuring a new vocal version, radio edit and remix by VillA, followed by an assortment of new material.
