The Invitation are the latest band to emerge onto Melbourne’s thriving underground music scene! Armed with an impressive demo recorded in just under 8 hours, their brand of infectious powerpop uniquely combines elements of pop, rock, dance and punk!
Producer/Engineer David Carr confessed he hadn’t heard a band so tight since he recorded Antiskpetic’s debut EP back in 2000! Described as Acceptance and The All American Rejects meets Hot Hot Heat, The Invitation perform a diverse and polished set combining crunching guitars, a driving rhythm section, soaring guitar solos, dance beats, sequencing and unmistakable vocal runs sure to turn heads on the live circuit!
In less than a handful of shows, The Invitation have already been lucky enough to share the stage with some of the nations finest talent including Behind Crimson Eyes, Horsell Common, Airborne, Capeside, Forgiven Rival, House Vs. Hurricane and Trial Kennedy. Keep your eye out for these guys as they begin to make their mark, recently performing alongside US punk legends MxPx in March!
