Being a band with over 15 years on the road, EDDIE comes from the historic city of Olinda, a breeding ground for bands and artists such as Ayreon and Chico Science & Nação Zumbi. EDDIE emerged nationally with Mangue Beat movement - a youth cultural movement that emerged in Pernambuco in the early 90s. His sound is light and relaxed, as the carnival of Olinda - a source of inspiration for many songs of the band. The EDDIE mix the ingredients rock, reggae, dub, samba and frevo to a dance beat sound. In 2006 the band EDDIE just released his third album, Metropolitan, and will hold its second tour of the Old World during the summer. 2. Eddie can also refer to a Pop/Rock band based in Berlin, Germany. They have won numerous awards. Most recently the German myspace band contest. 5.
